Plot[]

Part One: Kevin's screams for help go unanswered until Tyrone and Tommy hear him as they leave the Rovers and they see Kevin trapped by the hydraulic lift. Tyrone rings 999. Graeme hears from Cheryl that they need a waitress at the bistro at short notice and suggests Xin. The paramedics arrive as Tommy and Tyrone pull Kevin from under the lift. Having just seen Jeff off with some relief, Sally is horrified to see her injured ex. Izzy warns Owen not to pressurise Katy into an abortion. The Websters and Jason visit Kevin in hospital where he has a broken collar bone. Kevin asks Jason to look into the faulty lift with the supplier as he insists he followed the instruction manual. Tommy and Tina are concerned when a guilt-ridden Tyrone is knocking back brandies. Fiz and John take Hope for an echo-cardiogram which shows that her heart is healing well and she can come off her medication. While Cheryl is talking to Steve, Tracy and Amy in the street, Max runs off to greet David and Kylie. David scoops him up before a returning Jeff's car hits him.

Part Two: Jeff is shaken. Tracy isn't happy to see that the near-miss seems to have drawn Steve and Becky closer. Tyrone is annoyed to see the technician in the garage but falls silent when he tells Jason that the lift has been purposely damaged. Jeff's waiting for Sally in the bistro with a ring box. He's gutted when she cancels as she's still with Kevin. An upset Faye snaps at Anna when she asks her if she told Owen about Katy. When Kevin is adamant he has to leave hospital to look after his son, Sally tells him and the doctor that Jack can stay with her as a temporary measure, and reluctantly agrees that he can convalesce at No.4. Kylie agrees under pressure when David continues to talk about them taking custody of Max. Anna panics when she can't find Faye. Sophie tells her that she's seen her going into No.6's garden shed. Steve refuses to give in when Tracy and Amy try to get him to change their parenting arrangements to spend more time with her. Faye comes out of the shed and apologises for telling Owen about Katy. Tina's frustrated when Cheryl talks to Xin about a job at the bistro, and makes it clear she wants her to move out. John fails to persuade Fiz from going out and searching for Chesney. Amy drinks more milk. Jason tells Kevin and Sally about the lift. Sally insists that the police are informed. Marc and Audrey enjoy each other's company. Tyrone confesses to Tommy that he broke the lift but is terrified that he may be charged with attempted murder.
