Plot[]
Chris tells Carla that Maria was burning the midnight oil. Carla is impressed and offers Maria an olive branch. Becky enters to break the bad news that Liz has gone and left a letter for Steve and Jim. Chesney is angry when Katy plays truant yet again. Carla is annoyed when Maria broaches the subject of Frank. Tyrone is amused when Kevin confronts Sally over the sale of the car. Izzy tells Katy to make it up to Chesney. Carla agrees to a business lunch with Frank. Deirdre stops Steve in the street and tells him that Liz left some money and a note for Amy. Tommy returns and tells Tyrone that the Hortons' marriage is on the rocks so he needs a new place to stay. After much convincing, Tyrone agrees to let him stay at No.9. Steve visits Jim in prison and delivers Liz's letter. Jim tells Steve that Liz promises to return for the trial. The factory workers are worried when the amount of work begins to dwindle. Frank is impressed by Carla's new deal. Tina and Betty are sympathetic to Steve in the wake of Liz's departure. Frank proposes a business partnership to Carla. Tracy is suspicious when she sees Suzanne Holbrook leaving the Rovers. Tommy flirts with Tina and Tyrone asserts his authority with Kevin. Carla drops a bombshell on the factory workers and Maria. Frank has bought into Underworld.
