Plot[]
Part One: Graeme reluctantly agrees. Xin's thrilled and thanks him for his kindness. Audrey, Claudia, Marc and Emily are in shock as they gaze at the corpse of Mrs Hargreaves while waiting for the ambulance. Audrey resolves to take her curlers out for her. Norris and Mary excitedly stack the shelves in "Norris's News". Rita's upset and when Mary calls her a "crimplene-clad despot" she leaves in a strop. David is hurt that Kylie has tried to marry him off but she easily gets round him. Graeme's angry about what Tina's done. Sian arrives back from Tangier having had a fabulous time. Faye arrives just as the body of Mrs Hargreaves is carried out of the salon. Faye's unfazed saying her foster mum used to murder postmen. Carla has a meeting with Frank. He explains how he misread the signals and thought Maria fancied him. He thinks their working relationship is now at risk and Carla agrees to try and smooth things over between them.
Part Two: Sean refuses to set up a tab for Kylie. A shaken Audrey drinks in the Rovers with Gail, Claudia and Marc. Sophie's badly put out when Sian explains that she's made up with her mum and she's moving back in with her. Rita is angry when she overhears Norris talking negatively about her and says that she doesn't seem to count for anything nowadays. Emily sternly points out to Norris how insensitive it was to change the name of The Kabin bearing in mind Rita's lost everything in the tram crash. He is chastened. Shocked at the death of Mrs Hargreaves, Audrey reflects on her own mortality and suggests she signs over the salon to David now to avoid inheritance tax. Carla tells Maria how sorry Frank is. Maria's put out that Carla seems to have taken his side. Making matters worse, Carla suggests she takes time off with full pay. Having obtained the necessary forms, Xin explains to Graeme how they must convince the authorities they're in a serious relationship, otherwise she'll be deported, and he could go to prison. Audrey decides to see her solicitor and get things moving. David and Kylie are absolutely thrilled as discuss all the changes they are going to make.
