Plot[]

Part One: Leanne wants Nick sacked but Peter says they still need him with John in hospital. Nick lies to Gail about the reason for his cut lip. Gary asks Kevin for a job but he has no vacancies. Kevin snubs Rosie, and Sally won't intervene on any matters to do with Jack. Gary makes it up with Anna, while still planning to move in with Izzy. Sophie won't commit to going into college and blames Sian for blabbing to her mum. Tina isn't pleased to have to work with Tracy. When she arrives for her first shift in the Rovers, she tries in her own way to get on with Tina but is soon arguing about who can have Valentine's Day off. Relief manager Lloyd wonders what he's let himself in for. Nick lies to Peter that he underestimated his drinking problem. Nick tells Leanne that he's thinking of going to Italy and visit Sarah. She suggests he makes it a permanent move.

Part Two: Tracy delights in winding up Tina and says she'll be able to rake in more tips than her. Rosie gets upset when Jason won't stop work to drive her to a modelling job. Drinking with Sally, Gail isn't happy that Tracy is behind the bar, but their attention is diverted by a handsome man called Jeff Cullen who asks if he can buy them a drink. Gary can't find a job. Anna reveals that they are spending the day with Faye on the 21st. Jeff reveals he runs a marketing company. Gail flirts with him, but he's clearly only interested in Sally. He asks her out for dinner and Gail leaves them to it. Carla attempts to build bridges with Leanne in the Rovers, but she's unyielding. After telling Jeff about her year from hell, Sally nervously accepts his invitation and they leave. Carla follows Leanne into the toilets where they row. Leanne accuses Carla of scheming to get Peter while Carla calls Leanne a hypocrite over her fling with Nick. She flounces out and Leanne's horror-struck when a cubicle door opens and Tracy emerges, having overheard everything. Tracy demands an explanation.
