Plot[]
Part One: Leanne agrees to go with an upbeat Peter to his physiotherapy class today. Chesney's dubious as Fiz sets off to see Joy's solicitor but she reiterates that they need the money. Kevin's furious to learn that Sally recruited the Windasses to sabotage the viewing. Fiz meets Ben Dean the solicitor, who turns out to be a Fishwick family friend from years' past. She explains that "Colin" is in hospital after a breakdown and their premature baby is seriously ill. Peter confides in Nick that he's hoping to take a few steps for Leanne at his class today. Ben informs Fiz that Colin's inherited Joy's house and its contents, plus her savings of £8,307. Fiz agrees to provide Ben with Colin's bank details so that he can transfer the monetary inheritance at once. A panicking Janice rushes into the bookies, fearing that the burglar has returned to her flat. Fiz is perturbed when Ben expects to see her at Joy's funeral tomorrow. Rosie gets offered a modelling job for a mother and baby shoot by her agent Alfie, but she has to supply the baby. Nick checks Janice's flat and finds it's clear. He encourages Leanne to stay with a shaken Janice, thus missing the appointment. Peter's spirits plummet when Nick tells him what's happened, and that Leanne won't be with him.
Part Two: Peter returns in Lloyd's cab and he's fuming with Leanne when she asks him out it went. Peter tells Leanne he's cancelled his further physio appointments, saying if she can't be bothered, then neither can he. They row and Leanne walks out. Peter sets to work drowning his sorrows in vodka. Rosie asks Kevin if she can look after Jack tomorrow. Kevin's pleased Rosie's making an effort with her half-brother and agrees. Tyrone isn't impressed. Drunk and ashamed, a desperate Peter calls Nick to help him. Nick fobs him off, saying he's two hours' drive from Weatherfield, when in fact he's in the Rovers. Tracy rows with Carla across the bar for giving Eileen the job she was promised. Fiz tells Chesney that she has secured the inheritance but has to attend Joy's funeral. He despairs. Nick hopes to get Leanne to catch Peter in a drunken stupor and comes up with a ruse for her to go back to the flat to fetch some bookie's documents. Tracy continues to get no sympathy from the neighbours. Leanne and Nick find that the flat is empty. He questions if Peter is drinking again and comforts her when she cries. Meanwhile, Carla watches on as Peter sleeps in her flat. She kills a call that Leanne makes.
