Plot[]
Part One: Leanne realises that Peter's left the Rovers and wonders where he's gone. Carla tells her he's left. Peter and Nick share a pint in The Flying Horse. Nick's only too happy to ply him with alcohol. Rosie returns in a bad mood from a photoshoot. Eileen demands that Jason and Owen look at her roof. Leanne is worried when Peter isn't the flat. Nick pushes Peter into having a second pint. Anna confronts Gary about his missed physio appointments but he refuses to discuss it and walks out of the house. Anna's worried about her son. Chris and Cheryl reminisce over Russ's first words. Lloyd feels left out. He gives Cheryl a gorgeous necklace for her birthday. Cheryl's thrilled and it's Chris's turn to feel jealous. As Nick continues to ply Peter with beer, Ciaran clocks them after seeing the landlord for the chef's job. He storms over and loudly demands to know what the hell is going on, losing his new employment in the process. Ciaran furiously wheels Peter back and threatens to tell Leanne about his secret drinking. Peter begs him not to.
Part Two: Eileen announces to a disgruntled Sean, Jason and Rosie that she's going to have to increase their rent to pay for food and repairs to the house. Chris isn't happy to find out that Lloyd has bought Russ some football boots that he was after. Peter and Ciaran almost come to blows on the way back but can't even stand up. Eileen's shocked after Owen and Jason inspect the roof and tell her the estimated is £3,000 and needs doing urgently. Peter lies to Leanne saying he's been at Ciaran's flat watching a match. After snapping Izzy's head off, Gary tells her he can't think straight at the moment. Cheryl accuses Lloyd of being too possessive when he talks about all he does for her, and storms off home. Ciaran calls on Nick and accuses him of encouraging Peter to drink. Gary finally starts to open up and admits to Izzy about the enormous guilt he feels towards Quinny and Quinny's parents. Izzy reckons he should pay them a visit. Nick plays the innocent and assures Ciaran that after all they went through together in the tram crash, he only wants what's best for the only friend he has in the area. Ciaran's taken in.
