Plot[]
Part One: Sally is both mortified and angry that she can no longer trust Sophie. Steve's questioning continues. He recognises that he looks suspicious but maintains his innocence. Sophie and Sian come downstairs and Sally angrily spells out the fact she won't have gay sex in her house. Tyrone is embarrassed and quietly leaves. Gary accepts Owen's offer of some short-term work at the builder's yard. Sophie accuses Sally of having a problem with her being gay. She says she loves Sian and says that if Sally had shown a little more love to Kevin, he wouldn't have cheated with Molly. Sally loses her rag and throws them out of the house. The police question Nick but he's unable to help with their enquiries. Sophie and Sian take refuge at No.11. Rosie, Jason and Sean are amused, though sympathetic and Eileen sets off to No.4 to see if she can smooth things over with Sally. Visiting Hope, John and Fiz bump into Joy Fishwick at the hospital. John's heart sinks. Eileen sympathises with Sally but tells her she needs to accept Sophie's sexuality. Gary thanks Izzy for getting him the job. Tyrone calls to see Sally. She invites him again to stay for his tea and bursts into tears. He hugs her.
Part Two: To Ken and Deirdre's relief the doctor tells them that Tracy, although still very poorly, is starting to show signs of recovery with the swelling around the brain subsiding. The police question Gail and David who manage to keep their cool in the face of provocative questions. They give them their agreed false alibi. Owen realises that Izzy and Gary are an item. He's perturbed when Eddie tells him that his son isn't coping well. Tyrone tries to assure Sally that his daughter has done nothing especially wrong. Joy explains how she's dying of chronic heart failure and desperately wants to get in touch with Colin. She gives John her telephone number asking him to pass it on to Colin if he gets in touch. He feels awful. Owen gives Izzy a gentle warning about Gary. Sophie and Sian bed down for the night in No.11. Sophie tells Sian how she's starting to lose her faith in God because of all the awful things that have happened recently. As Tyrone and Sally kiss each other goodnight, their kiss quickly becomes something much more passionate.
