Plot[]
Part One: Leanne catches post-coital Nick and Tracy in the bookies. She's horrified and makes plain her disdain for Tracy. Sian and Sophie head out together for New Year. Tyrone calls on Sally for a heart-to-heart. Gary bottles out of his night out with Izzy, unable to leave the house. Nick apologises to Leanne about Tracy, but she acts unconcerned, claiming his actions haven't hurt her. Izzy gives up waiting for Gary and goes home. Wanting to get away, Leanne surprises a delighted Peter by telling him she's booked a last minute holiday for them. The festivities in the Rovers get underway. The Barlow family turn up and Tracy wastes no time insulting Claire when she overhears her talking to Ciaran about Ashley. The raffle is drawn; Eddie wins Audrey's manicure and pedicure, much to her displeasure, while Audrey herself wins Claudia's prize of a free cut and colour, making her mood even worse. Lloyd can't believe it when Chris wins his chauffeuring services for the day. Claudia flirts with Lloyd, annoying Cheryl. Claire blankly regards photos of Ashley and the boys. Tracy next insults Mary and enjoys telling the Platts about her impromptu sex session with Nick. He's embarrassed while David, Gail and Audrey glare at her in anger before leaving. David warns her to watch her back.
Part Two: Sean and Eileen are Tracy's next targets. Steve angrily remonstrates with her and Tracy tells him that she's going to upset everyone and then leave Weatherfield, taking Amy with her. Steve menacingly says that he'll see her dead first, to which Deirdre looks on in horror. Anna tries to talk Gary round into going out, but he recoils from her and flees upstairs. Tyrone and Sally agree to support each other as they look forward to a happier 2011. They are about to lean in for a kiss when a drunk Sophie and Sian arrive back. Nick retreats to the bookies, knocking back whisky. Gail resolves not to allow Tracy to ruin another year. David agrees before storming out of the house. Sophie and Sian start to kiss and are overwhelmed with passion as the clock strikes midnight. As the residents see in 2011, Tracy slips home to No.1. She's disturbed by a knock at the back door and goes to answer it. Ken and Deirdre arrive home, and Deirdre finds Tracy lying in a pool of blood in the yard with Steve kneeling over her. He's adamant that he found her in that state. Deirdre screams for Ken and he calls for an ambulance as she inconsolably cradles Tracy.
