Plot[]

Part One: Tracy shocks the Barlows and McDonalds by announcing that she's been released due to a supposed miscarriage of justice. A delighted Ken and Deirdre take her into No.1 while Steve and Becky are less than pleased. Audrey rushes to No.8 to break the news to Gail about Tracy's arrival. Ken breaks open a bottle of champagne. Leanne is less than pleased to have her sister-in-law back. Anna's shaken as Gary flies off the handle at her upon mention of Quinny's parents. He shoves her and she lands back on an armchair as he storms out. Kevin takes advantage of Sian's sympathetic nature to leave baby Jack with her while he goes to see Tyrone. Tracy reveals that the forensic expert from her trial has been discredited for falsifying his qualifications, throwing all of his cases into doubt. She has appealed and is out on bail, pending a retrial. She plans to put off seeing Amy tomorrow, until Deirdre mentions in passing that Steve and Becky wouldn't be pleased if she called round now. Gail and David are incensed and Gail decides to go to No.1. Hope's thanksgiving blessing begins. Kevin collars Tyrone in the Rovers and asks him to be sure he wants to give up Jack for good. Against expectations. Tracy strides into the pub, wanting to discuss Amy.

Part Two: Tracy and Becky trade insults as the McDonalds refuse to wake Amy. Suddenly, the sleepless girl appears in the door. Tracy envelops her in a hug. Peter invites Nick to join them for a drink. Peter picks up on Leanne's frosty attitude towards Carla. Leanne tells him that she knows all about Carla's drink problem and the candle she holds for Peter. He promises that nothing went on. Leanne's assured. Tyrone angrily reiterates that he doesn't want anything to do with Kevin or Jack. Steve thinks they ought to get on with Tracy for Amy's sake. Deirdre refuses to let Gail into No.1 and tells her she's not at home. Anna finds Gary standing in the street lost in his thoughts. Sally's furious with Kevin for leaving Jack with Sian. Kevin announces that he's facing up to his responsibility and leaving with Jack. Tracy tells Steve and Becky that she's going to spend Christmas with Amy and demands he hands her over at 10.00am tomorrow. A row brews but is curtailed by the arrival of Gail, seething with rage, followed by a worried Deirdre. Sophie cries as Kevin packs and Sally allows him to stay for Christmas. Tracy tries to play down her treachery earlier in the year, but when she cracks a joke about Joe's death, Gail lunges at her and a catfight ensues in the bar. A delighted Becky throws Tracy out of the pub. More wound up by Becky's attitude about Amy than anything else, Tracy vows to reclaim her daughter.
