Plot[]

Part One: The residents awake to see the destruction in daylight as the investigation and clearing operations begin. Those who have spent the night in the Rovers have breakfast and await the all-clear to return home. Betty remembers similar conditions in the war. Leanne's thankful when the surgeon tells her that there is hope for Peter. Roy and Hayley visit Fiz in hospital where she is horrified to hear about the deaths of Ashley and Molly, and puzzled about Charlotte's. Rosie and Sophie are allowed to return home and are surprised to find their parents already there. Sally breaks down when she hears about Rita and is frantic to get away from Kevin and visit her. The remains of the tram are taken away. Becky's racked with guilt as Dev thanks her for saving Sunita. Gary feels the same for not helping out at the scene of the crash. John dashes home from the hospital to remove any traces of Charlotte from No.5. Sally visits Rita in hospital and is relieved to find that she's fine. Unable to contain her emotions, Sally blurts out tearfully that Kevin is baby Jack's father. Rita's astonished.

Part Two: Carla's touched when her workforce turn up at the factory. She sends them all away to organise flowers for Fiz, a food buy-up for the homeless residents, and asks a touched Janice to keep her informed about Peter. John retrieves Charlotte's handbag from No.5 in which he finds photos of himself labelled "Colin" and sets off for her house. Rita advises Sally not to make any rash decisions in the wake of such a big shock. Claire breaks down in tears. Betty comforts her. Behind their backs, Becky retrieves the corner shop loot from the Rovers and tells an oblivious Steve she's going to meet Kylie as she wants to give Max back. John searches Charlotte's house for anything incriminating and is shocked to find she has kept scrapbooks and journals bursting with photos and obsessed rambling writings devoted to him. Jack's given the all-clear and Tyrone is allowed to take him away. Nick checks on Leanne at the hospital but their conversation is interrupted by the news that Peter's regaining consciousness. Leanne hurries away. Dev offers homeless Graeme and Tina the keys to his Victoria Court flat. Sally refuses to talk to Kevin. Sophie brings a weeping Tyrone carrying Jack in with her, having found them on the street. Peter wakes up and greets Simon and Leanne. Fiz and Chesney watch over Hope. Suddenly, an alarm sounds and medics surround Hope's incubator. Panic-stricken Fiz is taken away. John looks over the mass of papers that Charlotte amassed about him but is taken aback when her parents walk in on him.
