Plot[]
Part One: John's horrified as Joy explains she didn't even hear from Colin on her birthday as she always does. Kevin is in a foul mood and Sally's curious to know the reason why. Fiz feels sorry for Joy when she reveals she has heart trouble and needs to see her son before she dies. To help her, Fiz tells her that Colin had a job in a bookshop. John's appalled. Chesney and Katy ask Jason how much rent he wants for No.12 and are taken aback at the quote. Rosie mocks them and Katy bites back. Ashley frets about selling the business at a decent price. Leanne feels awkward when Carla and Peter pop in to The Joinery. With Joy gone, Fiz questions John about his movements earlier in the day and he spins another pack of lies. Returning from the Rovers, they find Joy outside No.5. In a state, she tells them that the bookshop informed her that Colin was viciously attacked and hasn't been seen since. She has a sudden funny turn.
Part Two: John and Fiz take her inside the house to recover. She drops hints about staying the night. Back from scattering the ashes off the end of the North Pier in Blackpool, Molly squirms when Tyrone tells her how perfect his life with her is. Sally asks Tyrone if he knows why Kevin is in a mood. Leanne confirms to a suspicious Carla that she's slept with Nick again. Carla enjoys being in the know. Molly warns Kevin she can't continue to hide her feelings from Tyrone. John's shocked when Joy reveals she's been to Colin's guest house and found he did a moonlight flit. She wants to contact the police, but John desperately manages to dissuade her. Graeme thinks of getting a bank loan and buy the butchers shop. Tina's dubious. Chesney tells Katy that a bedsit might be more affordable. Owen finds them in the kebab shop and orders her out to do her homework. Carla apologises to Peter for her attitude earlier and thanks him for supporting her. Claire's delighted at Graeme's suggestion while Ashley's clearly against the idea. With Joy gone, Fiz feels guilty, realising she sent Ben Fielding after Colin. She decides that Colin must be behind all the mysterious activity. John tries to dismiss the idea, but Fiz declares that they must track Colin down and make him stop.
