Plot[]
Part One: Gail wonders why Nick is so subdued when The Joinery opening went well. Leanne's wracked with guilt and stays in bed. Thinking that the anonymous letters refer to Rosie, Fiz reckons that Sally might be the culprit and resolves to confront her. John talks her out of it. Chesney blithely mentions that another one has arrived. John opens it and sees that it's a sympathy card reading, "You are in my thoughts". He pretends to Fiz that it must have been meant for Tyrone and Molly. Steve rings Jim on his birthday who says he's coming round later. Anna proudly shows Hayley the letter she's received from Gary in Helmand Province. Carla leaves Michelle in charge of the factory. Leanne tells Peter she's not well enough to go to work. Molly has trouble holding it together. Ciaran wonders where Leanne's got to, but Nick covers for her, saying she deserves a rest. He leaves a message saying that he's coming to see her if she hasn't turned up by the afternoon.
Part Two: Michelle muddles up an order and Janice enjoys goading her. Charlotte lies to John that she has also received a condolence card. She asks him to call round tonight as her nerves are in tatters, but he refuses, annoying her. Carla apologises to Peter for coming on to him. He urges her to avoid drink and attend AA meetings while assuring her that they're still friends. At Connie and Molly's urging, Tyrone phones Terry to tell that Jack has died. Terry makes it clear he's only interested in the will and won't be attending the funeral. Tyrone's appalled. A busy Ciaran pushes Nick into finding out where Leanne has got to. Sophie tells Sian that they should still go to choir practice and ignore the pastor's remarks. An on-edge Kevin explodes at their bickering with Rosie. David Barden, an army captain, calls on Eddie and Anna who dread the worst. A concerned Becky sees him arrive. Jim turns up at the Rovers. The captain delivers the news that Gary's been injured. Having grudgingly let Nick into the flat, Leanne tells him that she wants out of the business as she can't work with him. They row and Peter walks in, wanting to know what's going on.
