Plot[]
Part One: Arriving for work, Julie and Fiz are perturbed to find a wreath in the shape of the letter "C" on the Underworld steps. Michelle removes it, fearing it's intended to upset Carla about Tony Gordon. Steve tells a guilty Ciaran that The Joinery is doomed to failure. He doesn't mention he's accepted a job there. Becky throws herself into work, devastated at losing Max. Ashley is unhappy to be given a low-fat breakfast by Claire and orders him to stay off the beer. Becky confides in Roy about her unhappiness. She's unable to cope when a chirpy Anna discusses adoption in front of them. Michelle tells Maria about the wreath. She offers to ring Tony's brother Pat to check if the date is significant. A worried Graeme visits Ashley to see how he is. Claire refuses to let him return to work. Going to the cafe, Ashley confides in Graeme that he hasn't a heart problem, but was instead told he had indigestion. Steve takes matters into his own hands and meets Kylie before she departs for Cyprus.
Part Two: Kylie insists there's nothing for her in Weatherfield. Graeme warns Ashley that Claire will be furious when she finds out about his deceit. John overhears Julie, Fiz and Claire discussing the wreath and is alarmed. Steve proposes that Kylie leaves Max with him and Becky until she gets set up in Cyprus. He offers her money to help sort out somewhere to live. Maria draws a blank with Pat. John goes to the Rovers and hears Michelle say she's going to throw the wreath in the bin. Persuaded by Graeme and Ciaran, Ashley resolves to tell Claire the truth. Steve tells Becky of his proposal to Kylie. She's overjoyed at the thought of having Max for longer. When Ashley returns home, he finds Claire panicking because Freddie has swallowed some of what she thinks are heart pills. John panics when Michelle tells him that the wreath had a message on it which mentioned a scholar. Ciaran suggests to Leanne that she serve up mini hotpots. Kylie arrives at the Rovers. Becky offers her £1,000 to set up her life in Ayia Napa. Kylie stuns Steve and Becky by suggesting that they pay her £20,000 and they can keep Max for good.
