Plot[]
Part One: As Julie fantasises about Brian over her lunch at work, Fiz tries but fails to put her off him by saying there were rumours he slept with a pupil. Claire and Ashley can't find a buyer for No.13. John summons Brian to the bookies, begging him to cancel a date he's planned with Julie, explaining it's too risky in case Brian lets slips John's true identity. Brian agrees under pressure. Tyrone and Molly fuss over Jack until he asks them not to wrap him in cotton wool. Graeme asks a reluctant David for help in building some flat-pack furniture. Jack kisses Betty's hand, telling her how much he loves her hotpot. She thinks he must have been drinking, but she's touched, nonetheless. Fiz rings Julie, asking her to join her and John for a drink now she's been blown out. Emily's thrilled when an anonymous benefactor donates £2,000 to the church roof fund. Molly realises that Jack's behind the donation. Fiz and John are annoyed to discover from Betty that Brian's ignored his pleas and taken Julie to a restaurant in town. He tells Fiz they'll have to follow him.
Part Two: Tina's furious to find David in the corner shop flat helping Graeme and throws him out. Brian and Julie are enjoying their first date when John and Fiz arrive at the next table, destroying the romantic atmosphere. Graeme wonders if Tina's still in love with him. Brian and Julie are angry with their interlopers. Brian's wife Margaret calls his mobile while he and Julie are in the toilets. John answers pretending to be a waiter and lures her to the restaurant, saying he's out with a blonde, and then he and Fiz scarper. Tina is forced to tell him how David pinned her down. Graeme's incandescent. Margaret arrives and tells Julie they're not separated and she's welcome to her useless husband. A tearful Julie runs out. Tyrone and Molly promise each other they'll look after Jack to his dying day. As John and Fiz try to relax at No.5 the peace is broken when Brian arrives saying Margaret's thrown him out for good and he wants to kip on their sofa. Graeme's determined to make David pay for his treatment of Tina, but she makes him swear that he'll leave well alone.
