Plot[]
Part One: Gail's preoccupied by thoughts of Natasha's deception as David chats to her about the engagement. Natasha herself feels wretched. Nick obliviously tells her to take the day off work. Sophie's not happy about dossing on Mikey's floor. Gail is angry when Nick tells Audrey about Natasha not coming in due to morning sickness. Audrey warns her daughter not to interfere. She points out that they are not aware of all the facts and Nick may even know about the abortion. Ciaran tells Liz that he's got an interview for a chef's job in Glasgow. Michelle's upset that he might be leaving but hides her feelings. Sophie's disgusted when Mikey misreads her and tries to kiss her. Gail visits Natasha and tells her that she knows about the abortion. Sian returns from work and finds out about Mikey. She shouts at him for making a pass at her girlfriend. Sian and Sophie pack their bags. Gail reveals that she checked Natasha's medical records and demands to know why she did what she did before she speaks to her son.
Part Two: Natasha tries to explain herself. Gail's totally unsympathetic, saying she's insane for trying to trap him and orders her to tell Nick now. Owen tactlessly tells Eileen he's taking Liz to the cinema but needs her to sort some paperwork for him. Natasha seeks Nick out and seeks his assurance that he loves her. She asks him to go home with her. Ciaran tells Sean that it's best he moves on as Michelle gave him the push. Giving an unimpressed Eileen further instructions, Owen gives her some blank cheques to settle his invoices. Sophie tells Sian she wants to go home. Sian sympathises but can't face her dad. Resentful Eileen makes out a cheque to Jason for the wages that Owen withheld and tells him not to breathe a word. Sophie rings Rosie from a phone box. She cries that she's desperate to return home. Gail calls round to Nick's flat. Realising that he is still in the dark, Gail reveals that Natasha's not pregnant. Nick's furious with his mother and tries to throw her out, but tearful Natasha is forced to admit that Gail's speaking the truth. Nick's crushed.
