Plot[]
Part One: Steve hastily backs away from Kylie and refuses her offer of sex in exchange for his silence. Becky comes in, oblivious to what's been going on. Owen lies to Eileen, telling her that he had to sort out Katy after he left last night. Katy herself turns up and plays along with the deception. Owen gratefully agrees to lift the ban on her seeing Chesney. Nick and Peter bemoan the pressures of business. As relations between the two men thaw, Nick asks him if he's ever wondered about opening up another bar. Steve consults Lloyd about Kylie. Trevor's feeling down after his mishap at the factory. Sean tries to cheer him up. Gail tries to bury the hatchet with Nick but reiterates her concern that he is settling for second best with Natasha. She overhears. Gary comes into the Rovers with Quinny and Kirk having been released without charge after Kirk took the blame for the attack. Izzy's astonished. Steve resolves to nip it in the bud and tells Kylie that she has to move out of the Rovers, as he won't let her hurt Becky. Wasting no time, he tells her to go.
Part Two: Eileen dresses up to meet Owen in the pub. Gary thanks Kirk for getting him out of trouble. Audrey warns Gail that, if pressed, Nick is bound to choose Natasha over her. Sean finally plucks up the courage to tell Eileen about Owen and Liz. Kylie tells a surprised Becky that she's moving out. Natasha has another negative pregnancy test but still can't bring herself to tell Nick. Becky thinks Liz is behind Kylie's decision to leave. She points out to Steve that Max will be taken off her sister by social services if she goes. As Owen stands at the bar, Eileen confronts him for lying to her. He apologises while Liz is mortified that she's betrayed her friend. Carla brings up Trevor's incompetence at work. He's fed up and stomps off, leaving her alone in the flat. Izzy tells Gary that she's glad he's out of trouble. A jealous Kirk spots them holding hands. Becky persuades Kylie to stay. Steve's annoyed and tells Kylie that he still wants her out but she threatens to stop Becky from seeing Max ever again. Steve's amazed by her ruthlessness.
