Plot[]
Part One: Owen calls at the Rovers to collect his mobile which he forgot last night. Still in her dressing gown, Liz shows him out via the back door and gives him a passionate kiss in the ginnel. Sean spots them and is shocked. Natasha tries not to cry as Audrey talks about babies. Liz discovers that £50 is missing from the till and calls a staff meeting. Betty's affronted that she's under suspicion. Liz sees Kylie going shopping. Sean feels awkward when Eileen tells him that she's going to try again with Owen tonight. Anna's in a foul mood with Gary and Quinny. Nick belittles Trevor at the factory. Kylie complains about the early shifts she's given at the cafe. Kylie gives a pleased Becky a cheap ring to thank her for her support. She's pleased, as she grows more and more attached to Max. Natasha is uncomfortable when Gail says her pregnancy isn't showing much. Becky's angry when Liz mentions the missing money. Realising that Kylie's the chief suspect, Becky defends her sister.
Part Two: Kylie overhears Becky defending her again to Liz and Steve. When questioned, Kylie calmly tells Liz that she didn't take the money. Gary goes to the police station, with Quinny in tow for support. Izzy watches them go and tells a thoughtful Kirk that she blames herself for Gary's predicament. Kirk's thoughtful. An upset Anna tells Roy that she'd rather Gary went back to prison than away to war. Nick's furious when Trevor accidentally cuts some expensive silk. Eileen volunteers her services to Owen again. He's uncomfortable but cannot refuse. Nick finds Natasha upset and tells her not to worry about his family's obsession with their baby. Sean asks Ciaran's advice about Liz and Eileen and is told that it's best not to say anything. Steve catches Kylie rummaging through Becky's handbag. Kirk goes to the station and tells the police that they've got the wrong man. To stop Steve denouncing her, Kylie unzips her top and makes a play for him. Steve's shocked.

- Betty Williams claims in this episode that she has never been accused of stealing from the Rovers. However, she was accused twice by Annie Walker - in Episode 937 (17th December 1969) and again in Episode 1725 (27th July 1977). Both times she was innocent.
- A police officer at the station is uncredited although he has a line of dialogue.
