Plot[]
Part One: Claire is angry when Ashley tells her people always react when their children are involved and still insists they're moving. Steve and Liz tell Becky that she's crazy if she thinks she can impersonate Kylie in court but she won't listen. Mary cleans out the motorhome and finds a red hair on her pillow. Izzy tells the McDonalds that she saw Kylie with Gary. Becky storms round to No.6 and angrily remonstrates with her sister. Claire tells Lloyd that she and Ashley are moving away and hands in her notice at Street Cars. Mary shows the hair to Norris. They deduce that Gary is the most likely culprit. Kylie reluctantly follows Becky back to the Rovers. She acts self-pitying, claiming she's not fit to look after Max. Owen's paperwork is in backlog again. Eileen offers to help him with it tomorrow night. Owen gets a call from the school. Becky promises to help Kylie. She's pleased to have won her over and they set off for court.
Part Two: The court hearing begins just before Becky and Kylie burst in. Gary meets up with Quinny in the Rovers, watched intensely by Norris and Mary. Quinny tries to chat up Rosie. Owen looks for Katy. He and Liz make a tentative arrangement to go out. Kylie makes a speech to the court paying tribute to Becky for helping her to mend her ways and providing her with a home. Izzy gets into an argument with two lads in the pub when they are abusive to her. Gary and Kirk go to her aid. Liz throws the lads out. They glare at Gary as they leave. Izzy isn't grateful for his intervention. Lloyd tells Ashley about Claire's resignation. Becky and Kylie arrive back with Max, having won the case. Kylie wants to celebrate with Gary rather than put Max to bed. She and Gary see Mary watching their every move. Ashley again tries to persuade Claire not to make any big decisions, but she won't back down. Becky enjoys fussing over Max. Steve tells Kylie that the boy needs his mum and warns her not to let his wife down. As Gary leaves, Mary pulls at his hair and accuses him of stealing her motorhome. He maintains his innocence. Outside the pub, Gary and Quinny find the two lads waiting. Owen catches Katy with Chesney and berates her for missing school. The lads fight with the squaddies and Gary unleashes his anger, leaving one of them unconscious. As Kirk emerges from the pub, Gary and Quinny realise what they've done and scarper when Kirk tells them to run.
