Plot[]
Part One: Kevin phones for an ambulance while Sally tries to keep Molly calm. She finds it hard having Kevin present. Tyrone finds the delivery truck blocking a one-way street and the driver refuses to move despite Tyrone explaining the emergency. Ken tells Emily that he's meeting up with James for the first time today and that Deirdre doesn't approve. Tyrone and the van driver fight when he continues to refuse to move his van. In retaliation, the driver grabs the keys to Tyrone's breakdown truck and throws them away before driving off. Kylie flirts with Gary and Quinny. A watching Anna disapproves and warns Gary that Kylie's a hooker and best avoided but Gary ignores her advice. James turns up in the Rovers and meets his grandfather. An uneasy Emily leaves them to it. Becky feels guilty about leaving Kylie with their stepfather. James tells Ken he doesn't get on with his father who then turns up unexpectedly. Becky tells Kylie that she can live with them permanently and the Rovers is her new home. The birth nears and Kevin rings Tyrone as he searches in vain for the keys, telling him to return urgently.
Part Two: Trevor tells Carla he's mulled over her offer and he'd like to accept. Carla introduces Trevor to Nick telling him that he's the new under- manager. Nick's furious. Tyrone tries to hot-wire the truck. However, he's spotted by the police. Sunita is angry when Dev insults Becky after she stands up for Claire. Lawrence proceeds to argue with James as Peter walks in, unhappy to meet his extended family. While Sally rings the ambulance again, Kevin begs Molly to say nothing to his wife. Molly starts to push. Sally helps deliver the baby. Tyrone explains his predicament to the police officer. Peter enjoys filling Lawrence and James in on some family history, much to Ken's embarrassment. They retreat to No.1 where James explains to Ken that he's gay and how Lawrence disapproves. The two men walk out after harsh words. The police give Tyrone a lift home. He's just in time as Molly gives birth to a baby boy. Tyrone's overcome with happiness whilst Kevin is in turmoil.

- First appearance of Jack Dobbs, although the character would not be credited until 24th September 2014.
- The Paramedic present for the birth of baby Jack Dobbs is uncredited, despite lines of dialogue.
- Linus Roache, playing Lawrence Cunningham, appears in scenes with Chris Gascoyne playing Peter Barlow, a character that Roache had played irregularly in 1973 and 1975. This was only the second time in the programme's history that this had occurred. The first was in Episode 4996 (4th March 2001) when Bruno Langley as Todd Grimshaw acted in scenes where his character confronted Darren Michaels (played by Nicholas Zabel), a part that Langley had previously played in Episode 4868 (4th August 2000).
- Richard Hammatt was credited as the stunt co-ordinator on this episode for the fight between Tyrone and the van driver.
