Plot[]

Part One: Claudia tells Gail to ask Rita if she doesn't believe her. Maria greets Nick. Natasha's startled when a stirring David gloats that they were once engaged. Eileen's unhappy that she's still renting at her age. Mary calls on Hayley to carry out an impromptu wedding dress fitting and asks Roy to leave them to it. Gail questions Rita about Lewis. Norris confirms it. Maria gets for her old job back and thanks Audrey for letting her have the salon flat. She expresses interest in buying when Audrey mentions her possible retirement. Natasha overhears. Dev's frazzled looking after the twins. Fiz arrives at the cafe and is thrilled when Hayley asks her to be her bridesmaid. Mary's jealous. Rita takes Claudia to task for blabbing. Gail takes Lewis into the yard and tackles him about his former profession. He assures her that he cares for Audrey but Gail accuses him of being after her money. Lewis tells her not to upset Audrey on her birthday.

Part Two: Lloyd and Steve try to pacify Eileen by offering her flowers, a promotion and a payrise. She turns them, telling Sean she's going to accept but make them sweat. She looks at the "For sale" sign outside No.9. Gail glowers at Lewis as he chats up Deirdre. Natasha asks Audrey if she'll consider selling her the salon if she can raise the money. Audrey agrees but informs her that Maria's also interested. Natasha seethes. Eileen tells Steve and Lloyd she'll accept their offer. Mary makes negative comments about possible bridesmaid dress choices until Hayley tells her how important Fiz is to them. Eileen calls on Tyrone and Molly and announces that she wants to buy No.9 from them as soon as possible. Molly's delighted but Tyrone's not happy. Sunita's amused when Dev claims that child-rearing is a doddle and suggests he continue during the summer holidays. Gail confronts Audrey, who reveals that Lewis has already moved in with her. Dev tells Sunita that he needs to work over the summer so she suggests employing a childminder. He refuses to consider it. As Gail and Audrey's argument escalates in front of a packed pub, Audrey tells the crowd that Lewis was an escort she once hired but she's fallen in love with him. She berates her friends for judging her, and leaves the Rovers arm in arm with Lewis.
