Plot[]
Part One: Lewis brings Audrey her breakfast in bed on her birthday as well as the present of a necklace. She enjoys being made a fuss of and gives him his own house key. Eileen decides to make positive changes in her life. As part of their bet, Dev looks after Aadi and Asha while Sunita sets off for work at the corner shop. Natasha bosses everyone around for Audrey's big surprise. She tells Nick to find out from Audrey how much the salon is worth. Eileen tells Lloyd that she wants to become a partner in Street Cars. Gail is impressed with Lewis's present to her mother. Natasha finds a reason to prevent Audrey going to the theatre that night. Fiz and Hayley bump into Maria on the street. She reveals that she's moving back to Weatherfield. Sophie's still concerned that Ryan will blab. Lloyd and Steve find Eileen's idea laughable but are horrified when she overhears their derision and storms out after throwing cakes she's just bought in their faces.
Part Two: Lewis brings champagne into the salon for Audrey, ready to take her to her surprise party. Steve and Lloyd eat humble pie and call on Eileen, but she shuts the door in their faces. In an effort to reassure Sophie, Sian takes her to see Ryan. He's not pleased to be visited by the happy couple and tells them not to bother him again. Sian's upset while Sophie's worried. Lewis takes Audrey to the specially-decorated Rovers where she's greeted by her friends and family. Audrey's taken aback to find her age is common knowledge. Natasha's annoyed to have her big moment upstaged by Maria's arrival, which thrills Audrey but she's perturbed when Claudia also turns up. Lewis stops her making digs about Audrey's age. Sophie apologises to Ryan for the hurt they've inadvertently caused him. On a pretext, Dev checks up on how Sunita is doing, claiming that he has everything under control at home. Sian and Sophie are delighted when Ryan sells them the festival tickets he bought for him and Sian. Eileen's day gets worse when she learns that her landlord's increasing her rent. While Audrey gives a speech, a tipsy Claudia bitchily lets slip to Gail that Lewis is a gigolo. Gail's stunned.

Notes[]
- In the opening scene of this episode, Lewis Archer brings Audrey Roberts breakfast in bed on her birthday. Audrey wears a night dress, with her arms and shoulders bare. While watching the episode, eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewer and specialist skin care nurse Anna Bianconi-Moore noticed a irregular mole on Sue Nicholls's shoulder, and wrote a letter to ITV urging the actress to have it checked urgently. Nicholls took her advice and found that the blemish had turned into melanoma, a dangerous form of skin cancer. She had the mole removed a year later [1] [2].
- TV Times synopsis: Audrey is in high spirits as her 70th birthday party gets under way, but a drunken Claudia reveals all about Lewis's past to Gail; and as Eileen tries to take hold of her life, she makes a proposition.
- Viewing Figures: First UK broadcast - 7,560,000 viewers (9th place).
