Plot[]
Part One: The next day, John desperately tries to contact Charlotte to find out what she has said to Colin about him. Michelle worries that Ryan might be disappointed when he asks Sian to the prom. Natasha wonders how long Audrey plans to continue working. Charlotte finally answers John and agrees to meet him for lunch. Cheryl asks Lloyd for a lift tonight as she has a trial for a job at a new lap dancing club. He passes on a message from Chris that he wants to talk to her. The Windasses' new sofa arrives. Eddie invites the Stapes round to christen it that night. Norris complains to Owen about the mess caused by the building work and gets short shrift. Sian insists she's over her stomach pains. Sophie sets off for school early on the bus to help with the prom arrangements. Ryan approaches Sian and asks her to go to the prom with him. She agrees. Charlotte meets John in the cafe. She admits that she's said nothing to Colin but says he's sure to find out the truth sometime.
Part Two: John wonders if Colin intends to go back into teaching. Charlotte thinks John ought to come clean with him as soon as possible. Ryan makes arrangements with Sian to catch the same bus to the prom. He gets annoyed with his mum who asks if Sian's expectations of this arrangement differ from his. John arranges for Charlotte to bring Colin from the airport to the Rovers so that he can confess all. David lets slip that Audrey turns seventy in a week's time, raising Natasha's hopes of a retirement announcement. Lewis has a win on the horses and invites Deirdre for a drink to celebrate. John sends Fiz and Chesney round to No.6 without him. Deirdre joins Lewis in the Rovers without telling Ken. Audrey joins them, wondering why Deirdre is there and making pointed remarks. Ryan and Sian set off for the prom dressed to the nines. Suddenly, Sian clutches her stomach and collapses in agony at the bus stop. Fiz makes a complaining Chesney join her at No.6. Ryan runs to fetch help.
