Plot[]

Part One: John has been swotting up on the furniture shop he claims he works at in case Anna and Eddie ask him questions. Fiz has little sympathy for his predicament. Simon pesters Peter for a holiday. Partly to please Nick, Natasha attempts to apologise to Leanne for revealing her prostitute past. Leanne blanks her. Despite John's attempt to dissuade them, Anna and Eddie are determined to buy a sofa using his staff discount. Natasha admits to Audrey that she feels threatened by Leanne. Audrey avoids speaking to Claudia when she rings the salon. Nick tells the staff there's been a delay in getting the Stokes' order. Audrey is forced to grit her teeth when Claudia makes an appointment under an assumed name in the hope of gleaning gossip about Lewis. Kevin brings a pensive Sally home following her extended convalescence. Rosie and Sophie are delighted to see her. Graeme and Tina arrange to meet in the Rovers at dinnertime. Sean tells a hurt Graeme he likens them to Beauty and the Beast. Nick tries in vain to secure a replacement order for the factory but is forced to admit to the workers that Carla stole his only contact. Carla walks in invites them all to work for her instead and they accept, heading to the Rovers to celebrate. Nick's thoroughly defeated.

Part Two: Graeme asks Ashley what Tina sees in him but he's unable to come up with anything. Sally is delighted by a new garden heater and champagne to welcome her back on her birthday. John poses as a salesman when Anna and Eddie call at the furniture shop. Tina's stunned when Graeme finishes with her, claiming he's setting her free. Audrey's offended when Claudia refuses to believe that the interest Lewis has in her is genuine. Nick walks out of the Rovers when he sees the staff celebrating. John pretends to show the Windass's the merchandise and Eddie and Anna have fun trying out the various sofas. When harassed John is rude to another customer, she reports him to the manager. Chesney's puzzled when a stranger calls at No.5 demanding to see Colin Fishwick, who's been sleeping with his wife. Chesney tells him that he has the wrong house. The manager demands an explanation from John.

This episode was an addition to the regular schedule, following the schedule disruption caused by the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It was transmitted at 7.30pm.
First appearance of Sally Webster since 29th January 2010 as Sally Whittaker returned following treatment for breast cancer. From this episode onwards, the actress was credited with her married name, "Dynevor".
TV Times synopsis: A desperate John pretends to be a salesman as he shows the Windasses round the furniture store; Sally celebrates her birthday; Carla announces to the stunned factory workers that Underworld is back in business; and weighed down by insecurities, Graeme tells Tina it's over.
