Plot[]
Part One: Carla prepares to see a loss adjuster about the factory premises. After dropping a quiet Russ off at school, Cheryl tells Lloyd that she's going to look for another job to support her and her son, but she isn't going back to Chris. Trevor gives a disappointed Janice a present from South Africa - a wooden elephant inscribed with the name "Janis". Mary tells her Hayley her detailed itinerary for their trip out in her motorhome to look at the Shawbrooke Country House Hotel as a wedding venue. Leanne's pleased to see Carla back and makes arrangements to have a coffee with her after she's seen the loss adjuster. Nick watches her going into the burnt-out shell.
Part Two: Sean tells the girls about the paperwork for Nick's Knicks. Nick tells the factory girls he's going to give them all a small bonus at the end of the week. Carla tells Leanne about the nightmares she's suffered about Tony. Leanne tells her how Nick's got the factory up and running again in Turners Joinery. Cheryl goes into Manchester, job-hunting. Michelle suggests that Sean emails Violet pretending to be Liz in order to find out how Dylan is doing. Audrey confides in Gail about how much Lewis means to her and she never thought she'd find love again at her time of life. Gail's happy for her. A menacing Chris turns up at Street Cars looking for Cheryl. Steve has to intervene when a scuffle breaks out between him and Lloyd. Ciaran persuades Michelle to let him come round and cook for her that evening. Carla heads into the makeshift factory to a delighted greeting from the staff. She's impressed but Nick makes it clear it's his business now and she's not welcome. The hotel manager shows Mary and Hayley round and Mary railroads Hayley into booking her wedding there, despite the £6,000 cost. Cheryl returns not having found a job. Chris approaches and she agrees to talk to him, leaving Lloyd looking after Russ. The factory staff watch on as Nick orders a furious Carla to leave.
