Plot[]
Part One: Gail still isn't sleeping. Nick admits he's worried about Underworld. Audrey is unusually sharp with Natasha when she arrives for work. Nick tells a complaining Janice that he plans to rent alternative premises while the factory is rebuilt so they should be up and running soon. She admits she is impressed. Chesney is nervous on the day of his maths exam. The police drop the charges against Carla and return her passport. Gail cries over Joe's things and thinks she ought to give them to Tina. Roy plans a romantic meal for Hayley. David enlists the help of Graeme and Eddie and between them they push Joe's boat down the street. Nick asks Peter about renting the Turners Joinery but Peter, still smarting from their argument in the Rovers, refuses to tell him who the owner is. Leanne's annoyed with Peter pointing out that Janice's livelihood is at stake.
Part Two: The boat is dumped in Victoria Street as David doesn't want his mum seeing it. David's hurt his shoulder pushing it. Audrey is annoyed with Lewis for not coming home last night. They agree to meet in the Rovers later to talk it over. Trevor excitedly shows Carla the tickets for South Africa and makes her try on an England bobble hat. Gail calls round to Tina's flat with Joe's belongings. She reluctantly lets her in. Natasha's amused to find Graeme giving David a shoulder massage when she walks into No.8. Chesney's feeling down after his exam. Fiz tries to cheer him up. Gail hands over the box of Joe's things. Nick tries desperately to find alternative premises. Paul Stokes discovers the factory has burnt down. Audrey walks in on Lewis at the bar with Deirdre. The factory girls gather in the pub, wondering about their jobs. Lewis tells Audrey he was only working in staying overnight with a client for his job, and it meant nothing, but she's still annoyed with him and leaves. Paul cancels his order saying it's too risky. Leanne and Peter overhear as Nick breaks the news to the factory girls that he did his best to save Underworld but failed and they no longer have jobs.
