Plot[]
Part One: Steve's furious with Becky for upsetting Dawn. Becky admits to Liz that she thinks she's made the biggest mistake of her life. Ken finds a box of Blanche's belongings under her bed. Deirdre shouts at him for going through her mother's room again. She's taken aback when Ken confesses how much he misses Blanche and apologises. Graeme coaches Kirk on how to behave during his date with Izzy. David's annoyed that he's pinched his shirt to wear. Ken and Deirdre go through Blanche's belongings together and tell each other how much they mean to each other. A contrite Becky explains to Steve that she's had trouble dealing with social workers ever since she was little. Steve listens and then walks out abruptly.
Part Two: Kirk's nervous around Izzy when she arrives in the Rovers but she forgives him for using Jason's photo to attract her and they enjoy each other's company. Amy gets upset about Blanche and, as Becky consoles her, Steve arrives quietly with Dawn, and they eavesdrop on their conversation. Dawn's very impressed with how she handled the child. Sean, Fiz and Julie are introduced to Izzy when they come into the pub. They mention that Carla is looking for a trainee machinist. Izzy sees that David and Graeme are watching her and Kirk's every move and tells them to do one. Dawn advises Steve and Becky to proceed with their application. Izzy is also annoyed with Liz watching them and tells her to leave them alone. A delighted Becky announces the adoption process is back on. Fiz and Julie comfort Sean who's still miserable about not seeing his son. Ken helps Deirdre to write the eulogy for Blanche's funeral. After polishing off a bottle of wine, Julie encourages Sean to locate Violet via Facescene. Having found her in London, Sean sends a friend request. Deirdre hopes that Tracy will be let out of prison in order to attend. Steve and Becky look forward to getting on with the adoption process. In prison, Tracy tearfully beseeches the governor to release her for her grandmother's funeral. The governor agrees but warns her to behave herself. Tracy's delighted.
