Plot[]
Part One: Audrey's walking on air having spent the night with Lewis. They have breakfast together and kiss. Norris has a bad dream and is nervous to be woken up by an attentive Mary offering breakfast in bed. Audrey and Lewis arrange to meet in the Rovers that night. David sees how tired and upset Anna is in the cafe, clearly worried about Gary. Norris rings Rita, saying how oppressive he finds Mary's company. Desperate to get out of the cottage, he suggests to Mary that they go for a walk, but she refuses insisting they spend the day entering more competitions. Roy sends Anna home for a lie down. David rings Gary. Mary dreams of winning foreign trips and cannot be shifted from the cottage. David meets Gary by the Weatherfield Canal and tells him to get in touch with him mum and put her mind at rest, but Gary's adamant he can't risk it.
Part Two: In the salon, Michelle and Natasha watch on with interest while Lewis talks to Audrey and realise they spent the night together. Graeme is upset to hear that Nick is going out with Natasha. David labels her a bunny-boiler. Audrey and Lewis go for a day-time drink as he has to work that night. Nick joins them and questions Lewis about how they met, but they evade giving him a complete answer. Whilst Norris is asleep on the sofa, Mary snuggles up to him. He awakes and is horrified to find his head on her bosom. Carla rings Nick with work to be done and he asks Audrey to make his apologies to Natasha for him. David bumps into an upset Anna. After snapping at him, she tells him about her worries for her son. Natasha's upset to find she's been stood up. Rita sees Lewis kiss Audrey. Natasha follows Nick to the factory and barges into his office when she sees him knocking down a beer as if he's avoiding her. She shouts the odds at him, only to find he's on a conference call to two customers. Nick sees the funny side as she curls up with embarrassment and they kiss. A jealous Rita tells Audrey that Lewis is simply using her and she's turning herself into a laughing-stock. Audrey's hurt and angry.
