Plot[]
Part One: Kevin rushes to find his phone while a happy Tyrone and Molly drive on, oblivious to their danger. From No.4, Kevin frantically rings his partner. Anna frets about Gary, trying to make sense of the situation. She leaves a mass of messages for her son. Eddie does his best to calm her down. Pam and Bill bicker about the pressure that Kevin is putting on Molly. Anna and Eddie go into the Rovers where they exchanged forced pleasantries with Steve and Becky about the progress of their adoptions. Batting along a country lane, Tyrone almost collides with two cyclists. The incident dislodges a braking component from beneath the car. Having gone into La Belle, Lloyd embarrasses Cheryl by seeing where she works. Rosie sees how depressed Sophie is and says she has a solution. Steve and Becky decide to proceed with the adoption process. Pam tells Kevin that Diggory now lives in Swettenham, and he sets off to follow them.
Part Two: Julie spends the evening at No.5 having a de-stress and face pack session with Fiz. Tyrone takes a detour off the main route to a country pub. Soon afterwards, Kevin drives straight past it. Lloyd isn't bothered by Cheryl's occupation and says he will see her again. Becky composes a letter to the adoption agency. Rosie gives Sophie one of her show-stopping dresses to cheer her up. She actually finds she quite likes it. John arrives home late from work to find Julie keen to discover how his day in his furniture store has gone. Julie mistakes Fiz's tense attitude for separation issues. Sophie's gutted when Ryan tells her that he and Sian might be getting back together. With Julie having gone, Fiz rips into him, thinking he might have been discovered and arrested. Having enjoyed a roast dinner, Tyrone and Molly continue their journey without checking their phones. Knowing that Diggory won't be home yet, they decide to go for a ride in the country. Kevin arrives at Diggory's house but there's nobody home. Anna can't contact Gary and imagines all sorts that could have gone wrong. Another component falls from under the car. The brakes fail and it veers off the road, crashing through a fence and ending up on its side. Kevin tries his mobile again as the passengers lie unconscious in the vehicle.
