Plot[]
Part One: Rosie blags an invitation to tea for Kyle at No.4 before going out shopping with her boyfriend. Peter returns to the flat, having spent the night at Ciaran's. He refuses to talk over matters with Leanne who informs him that she won't be at work today. Janice is put out to see that Trevor's bed has not been slept in, unaware he's waking up in Carla's bed. John's put out when his former teacher colleague Colin Fishwick turns up in the cafe, making humorous comments about his kidnapping antics. Breaking the news that he's emigrating to Canada, he invites John to his leaving party tonight. John's not keen. Ryan is keen to spend the day alone with Sian and avoid Sophie. Leanne calls into the Rovers and apologises to Michelle. She asks Ciaran for his help with a surprise for Peter. Trevor feels guilty for letting Janice down. Fiz talks John into attending Colin's leaving do. Ciaran invites Peter to the Rovers later on. Worried about Trevor's whereabouts, Janice calls his phone. She's shocked when it rings in Carla's office. Carla gives it to Janice to return and instructs her to respect her privacy when she asks questions. Janice flees the office in tears.
Part Two: Leanne bumps into her former lap-dancing colleague Cheryl and invites her to the Rovers. Sally rings Kevin from her Auntie Phyllis's where she is recuperating. Rosie brings her boyfriend Kyle round and introduces him to Kevin and an unimpressed Sophie. Ciaran lures Peter to the Rovers. There he finds Ken and Deirdre waiting. A smiling Leanne follows him in and kisses him passionately. John and Fiz arrive at Colin's house for the party. Having called Sian, Sophie meets up with her and informs her of how Ryan tried to kiss her. Sian's incensed and drags Sophie along to his flat confront him. Simon is brought into the pub and hands Leanne a box. She drops down on one knee and produces an engagement ring. Peter's stunned and on Simon's recommendation accepts her proposal. Cheryl introduces herself to Janice. Janice gives Trevor his phone back. He apologises for letting her down over the fish supper last night. At the party, Fiz is introduced to the flirtatious Head of R.E. Charlotte Hoyle. Ryan and Sian argue. Ryan denies everything and accuses Sophie of fancying him and trying to split them up. Sian wonders if this could be true. Sophie leaves, devastated.
