Plot[]

Part One: Carla introduces Nick to the Underworld girls explaining he's their new boss. Back in the office, Carla insists that Nick makes his industrial espionage up to her by sacking Kelly. David interrupts them when he wants to talk about Tina's assertion that Gail is a murderer but Nick is too distracted by Carla's demand to help him. Kevin sneaks away from the garage into the corner shop, annoyed that she's told Tyrone that the child is his. His and Molly's harsh words are interrupted by Claire. Nick is unable to change Carla's mind. Kevin demands that Molly keep away from him and his family from now onwards. Gail finally ventures out but Lyn Fulwood and the other inmates frighten her and she quickly scuttles back to the safety of her cell. When Rita offers Emily £5 for a trouser suit in the charity shop, Emily points out there are no perks for staff. Rita's annoyed and tells her that she knows nothing about retail. Rita further offends Claire when she describes her donations as "tat". In front of the other staff, Nick sacks Kelly for divulging confidential company information and not being loyal to the firm. The other staff are nervous that she saw their personal financial information. Kelly appeals to Carla and is told she has five minutes to clear her locker.

Part Two: In the Rovers, Rita apologises to Emily. Mary tells them how Norris is refusing to accompany her to Bronte country saying he can't leave The Kabin. Janice can't raise Kelly on her phone to see how she is. Tyrone fusses round Molly and shows her the parenting book he's bought. She realises what a great dad he'll be. Jason finds Tina upset and wearing one of Joe's jumpers. He tries to comfort her. Nick locks up the factory and finds Kelly waiting for him outside. She warns him that one day someone will stab him in the back the way he's done to her. Rita's quick to offer her services so that Norris can go away with Mary and he can hardly refuse. Rita and Emily are highly amused to have stitched him up. A bitter Kelly joins her former colleagues in the pub. She tells the astonished girls what she thinks of each of them, saying they're a bunch of losers and she's leaving Underworld and Weatherfield for better things. Only Janice is sorry to see her go and chases after her, handing her a whip-round they've collected for her. Saying she's determined to find more in life, Kelly hands the money back and departs the street.

A tram is seen passing over the Viaduct Street viaduct for the first time within an episode, as Kelly Crabtree leaves the street. However, one had passed over the same location in the title sequence since 2002. All were accomplished by CGI.
TV Times synopsis: Carla realises Nick had insider information about the business and exacts her revenge on her new partner and his informant; and Gail vows to fit into prison life and ventures out of her cell.
