Plot[]

Part One: Janice alerts Ken and Deirdre to the news of the missing Simon. They also set off for Blackpool. A frantic George begins to regret his actions. Unable to know how to access the Underworld computer files, Kelly rings Nick for instructions. An unimpressed Fiz is off with Molly when she tries to chat with her. DS Carr and DC Glynn interview Mark and Jane Kenworthy, who describe seeing Joe and Gail arguing on board the boat. Fiz arrives home and John tells her about his successful job interview. She is concerned that he did not declare his criminal record. Peter is agitated to be caught in roadworks. Trevor and Carla return from their meal. She wants to check on Kelly but Nick spots them first as he's on the phone to Kelly. Holding on to Trevor's arm to make a point, Carla goes with him for another drink in the Rovers. The police search gets underway in Blackpool. Peter and Leanne arrive. George is shamefaced and Peter manages to control his anger. Kelly has let Nick into the factory to look through the accounts. She leaves him to lock up when he promises to see her later. Gail tells Tina that she's going to Milan after the funeral. The police arrive to see Gail. Ken and Deirdre have also arrived in Blackpool. They remonstrate with a guilt-ridden George over his actions. Ken has to calm down his distraught son.

Part Two: Glynn and Carr inform Gail about the Kenworthys seeing her on the boat. She insists she got off before Joe sailed away. Tina's immediately suspicious. Peter and Leanne join in the search. John tells Fiz how happy he was to be offered the job. She puts her reservations aside and decides to be happy for him. Pam calls on Molly, who tells her how lonely she is as Tyrone is so liked in the area. She comforts her niece. George thinks of offering a £10,000 reward. Nick surprises Carla with a tempting business offer of £123,000 for Tony Gordon's shares and a client list with orders exceeding another £100,000. He tells her to think it over. Carla and Trevor get on famously. The search for Simon continues to no avail. The police issue flyers containing his photograph. Pam tells Molly that it's over between her and Kevin and it would perhaps to best to go somewhere for a new start. Peter thinks he's sees Simon on a merry-go-round but it's another boy. The child's dad threatens him. Tina suspects Gail of lying to her. Gail denies it but Tina accuses her of playing games and orders her to stay away from Joe's funeral. Gail's shaken. Peter, Ken and George continue to search through the night.
