Plot[]
Part One: Leanne rails at George before going to find Ken and go after Peter. David tries to be helpful to Gail. Peter arrives at George's house. DS Carr and DC Glynn call at the salon and question Audrey about Gail and Joe's relationship. She's uneasy at the tone of their enquiries and snaps at them when she realises they're asking if Joe ever hit her daughter. George finds Peter at the house and tells him that Eve and Simon are out. Refusing to believe him, Peter breaks a window to gain entry. George is shocked at his behaviour. Nick buys the Underworld staff drinks in the Rovers, plying them with questions about the business. Drinking across the bar, Carr and Glynn realise who he is and ask to speak to him about Joe. Fiz tries to assure John that he can be happy without teaching but John's downcast. Ken and Leanne arrive at the Wilsons' to find Peter packing Simon's things. George demands that Peter leaves. Defiant Peter decides to call the police.
Part Two: Gail's upset when Carr and Glynn visit No.8 to ask David for his opinion of Joe. They don't find him easy to unnerve. Gail tells them to leave, fearing the nightmare will never end. Eve and Simon arrive home. George orders Eve to stay locked in the car with Simon. Peter's incandescent with fury. Leanne implores him to stay calm and await the police. Sean takes Kelly to task when she upsets Hayley with insults about her salsa dancing. A nosy Becky can't get any answers from Nick about what the police wanted with him. Nick tells Kelly that he's considering buying a share of the factory. Kelly's charmed by him. The impasse at George's house continues. Eve lets Simon out of the car. George provokes Peter, who pushes him, and a scuffle develops as the police arrive. They make it clear they already know and are friendly with George. John secretly applies for a job teaching evening classes. George gives his side of the story to the police. Nick takes Kelly out for the night. Peter loses patience and tries to take Simon home. The police officer bars his way so Peter shoves him. The officer seizes the chance to arrest him. Gail is nervous that the police are questioning everyone she knows. Simon watches sadly as Peter is driven away.
