Plot[]
Part One: Still hanging around at No.4, Tyrone finds a moment to try and find out from Kevin if Molly has said anything to him about their relationship. Becky extracts a promise from Steve that he will support her in whatever she decides, but he demands no self-pity from her as she explains her reasons to him. Blown off by Michelle, Ciaran turns his attentions to Carla when she and Leanne come into the Rovers but is equally unsuccessful. Leanne and Carla plan a girls' night in. Becky tells Steve about how her mother behaved and how she can't help but think she's a chip off the old block. Steve does his best to convince her that she'd make a great mother and sees for himself how wonderful she is with Amy. Ken and Ciaran are reacquainted. Ken is worried that Peter's old friend will persuade him to start drinking again. Janice's potential lodger comes into the pub to see her. It turns out to be Trevor Dean. She puts on a show of not being pleased at the thought of a binman as a lodger. Deirdre calls up at Leanne's flat and she and Carla invite her to join them. Janice puts on a show of reluctance to letting Trevor have the room but confides in Sean and Julie that she fancies him. Peter's envious as he watches Ciaran down pint after pint.
Part Two: Steve points out to Becky how naturally caring she is with Amy. She's pleased when he admits that although he wouldn't have been thrilled, he would still have married her if he'd known she didn't want children. All three of them tipsy, Leanne shows Carla and Deirdre round the joinery building site. They decide to sample some of the drinks that have been stocked. Kevin calls to see Molly and brusquely tells her to stay away from his family in future. She insists she was there just to see Sally. Peter and Ciaran set off to join the girls. Peter's amused to see Ken helping a paralytic Deirdre back to No.1. Janice shows Trevor round the flat and he agrees to move in tomorrow. Janice is secretly thrilled. Carla admits to Leanne that she's lonely. Peter and Ciaran find them in the bar. Carla sets off to find a cab. Ciaran insists on going with her. Peter tells Leanne he'll clear up the empty bottles for her. Becky makes a decision and tells Steve she will have their baby, though she's scared. Steve's thrilled and agrees to get rid of the bike. He agrees not to tell anyone for a while and thus tempt fate. Alone in the new bar, Peter finds the temptation too much and downs a leftover glass of wine but immediately regrets his actions.
