Plot[]
Part One: Dev gives Bill free flowers when he hears they're for Sally. Kevin insists that Sophie goes to school and not the hospital. Tyrone remains surprised that Kevin said nothing to him about his wife and asks Molly if she knew. Molly tells him that wives don't always tell their husbands everything. The factory girls discuss Sally. Hayley organises a whip-round. Janice feels guilty for all the horrible things she said but Kelly remains vitriolic. Sophie is short with Ryan and Sian when they offer their sympathies. Anna wants a send-off for Gary in the Rovers before he leaves for his stint in the army. Gary insists that Eddie doesn't bake a cake for him. Steve tries to talk to Becky, but she makes it clear she doesn't want to know and makes arrangements to see Claire instead. Sally is checked over by a nurse. The staff are appalled with the small amount of £1.50 that Kelly puts in the collection when the others are giving £5. She vigorously defends herself, annoying everyone in the process. Tyrone phones Kevin and tells him that he's turned down the job at Hobson's as he doesn't want to leave him in the lurch whilst Sally's ill. Kevin's frustrated as he was hoping that Tyrone and Molly would move away.
Part Two: Steve agrees to host Gary's party. He can see that Anna's upset at the prospect of her son leaving. Becky walks out despite Steve's pleas to talk. Sunita phones Dev in a panic telling him that Asha's ill. He leaves Molly in charge of the shop to go and help her. Anna finds that Eddie is ignoring Gary's demand and is planning a cake. Asha's clearly very ill and Dev agrees with Sunita that they should call the doctor. The anaesthetist takes Sally through his part of the procedure. She confesses her fears to Kevin. He tells her he'll be there for her. Gary spreads the word about the party. Tyrone tells Molly that he's turned down the job in Chester so that he can support Kevin in his hour of need. She's furious with him. Sunita realises she completely forget to tell Matt about Asha. Kevin and Rosie tell Sally how much they love her as she's wheeled away to the operating theatre.
