Plot[]

Part One: The wedding party have arrived back at the Rovers for the reception. Audrey sincerely wishes a happy Gail much happiness. David and Nick taunt each other. Kevin reassures a worried Tyrone that he has his blessing for his new job. Joe is horrified to see Rick in the pub. Ken and Steve arrive at the planning meeting at the council offices. Ken is disappointed at the turnout. Sally steels herself and asks Carla for time off. When she refuses, Sally tells her the truth about her breast cancer. Carla is shocked and instantly sympathetic. In the pub, David notices that there is something going on between Tina and Nick. Rick demands a further £5,000 to cover the interest of his loan and hints at violence towards Tina if he doesn't comply. In the Rovers' yard, Nick agrees to leave Tina alone. They are sharing a joke when David appears and asks what's going on.


Part Two: Carla and Sally share a vodka and orange in the office. Sally tells her about the treatment she needs and is informed to take as much paid time off work as she needs. Carla tells her about a scare she has had and assures her she'll be fine. Sally breaks down. Nick tells David he was just cheering Tina up as she was depressed about Jason not coming to the wedding. The two brothers argue. Old jealousies and resentments resurface and David tells Nick to clear off out of Weatherfield. Nick is initially unfazed, however David makes the mistake of calling him "Nicky", Nick slams David up against the wall and is close to hitting him, but relents and warns his brother to back off. Ignoring him, David taunts him about Brian's death and a furious Nick gives him a warning. George, Peter and Leanne join the meeting. Ken explains the disruption a new bar would cause to the community. Peter takes his turn to address the meeting. Asked by Ted, Joe lies to him that Gail will be told about the flat on their honeymoon. After a deliberation, the chair reveals that the application has been successful. Ken leaves in a fury when Peter offers him his hand. Jason arrives at the reception. Nick watches as Tina kisses him. Gail makes a speech, saying how blessed she feels at being given another chance of happiness with a good man. Ken arrives home. Deirdre advises him to accept that he cannot stop the bar now and support Peter instead. Ken is unimpressed. The newlyweds set off for their honeymoon. Joe pointedly tells Jason to keep an eye on Tina and sees Rick waving to him from across the street. They drive off, Gail totally oblivious to her new husband's woes.
