Plot[]

Part One: Steve and Becky are barely speaking after last night's discussion about children. Liz asks her son what their argument was about. Rosie is suffering a hangover and Kevin is unable to fix have run one of her roller skates that Graeme broke last night while drunk. Claire is worried that Steve might have said something to Becky. Molly is withdrawn but Tyrone hardly notices. She's angry when Kevin sends Tyrone out on a New Year's Day call. Steve takes Amy to visit Tracy in prison. Michelle lectures an embarrassed Ryan about protective sex. She apologises for overreacting last night. Natasha pulls out of the stylists' dinner as she has a date with a welder. Audrey refuses David 's offer to accompany her. Becky calls on Claire and rips into her for interfering in her marriage, whilst also dropping her in it by revealing in front of Ashley that Claire said she fancied Dev. Ashley retaliates by saying he fancies Leanne. Graeme has no memory of wearing the skates and offers to help get them fixed. Dev visits Sunita and the twins. He makes an effort to be civil to Matt. Audrey furtively phones Lewis and hires him to be her escort for the evening.

Part Two: Jack visits Molly while Tyrone is out on his call. He drops hints about her starting a family soon. Finding out what Steve and Becky's row was about, Liz is surprised they never discussed the matter before and warns her son that his wife is leading him a merry dance. Sophie's upset with Sian for breaking their pact and having sex with Ryan. David tries to find out who his gran is going to the dinner with. Ryan thinks Sophie is off her head for being celibate. He asks Michelle if Sian can stay the night. She's agreeable so long as Sian's parents don't mind. Sian tells Ryan she'll lie to her dad and pretend she's at Sophie's house. Dev does a jigsaw with the twins. Sunita starts to thaw towards him and offers to let him look after them on Monday. Rosie's skate is fixed. Becky tells Steve that he hurt her feelings. He broaches the subject of children again but she's adamant she never wants any, saying she'd be a rotten mother. Sally has a hangover and takes to her bed. Becky wonders if she and Steve made a mistake in getting married. He admits they're in trouble.
