Plot[]
Steve, Lloyd and Eileen don't want to work on New Year's Eve so they close the cab office. Jason arranges to meet Molly in the Rovers. Tyrone overhears and is immediately jealous. Molly and Tyrone have a row. Leanne kisses Peter under the mistletoe in the Rovers. Blanche gives Deirdre a betting slip to remember her by when she's gone. If they put a monkey on the moon by 2030, then Deirdre will be a wealthy woman! Dev has Tara round for dinner and they raise their glasses to a better year. Peter goes to collect Simon from No.1 and moves him back into his flat. Peter looks longingly at the bottle of whisky on his coffee table. Tyrone finds Molly crying alone. She tells him their relationship is over and she wants to sell the house. Tyrone's shocked. As the regulars count down to midnight in the Rovers' yard there's a huge explosion from the yard of No.9. The biodiesel explodes and Pam and Darryl are both injured. Tyrone phones an ambulance while Molly rushes to Pam and Darryl's aid. Meanwhile, Liz and Lloyd snog round the corner in Rosamund Street.
