Plot[]
Ashley finds Claire cutting up all their bank cards. Ashley admits to Claire they're in financial trouble as the business has been failing for ages. Audrey makes Maria comfortable in her spare room. Maria makes her promise not to tell anyone where she is. Gail and Bill arrive at Audrey's house demanding to know why she's been in touch with Ted Page. Gail's upset Audrey didn't bother to tell her that she's been in touch with her father. Harry helps Liz out behind the Rovers' bar and asks her if she'll accompany him to an opening drinks party at a new bookies. Liz says she'll think about it. Carla calls to see Liam. He's beside himself with worry over Maria and tells Carla to leave. Bill insists Audrey must phone Liam and tell him that Maria's okay. Lloyd helps Dan start his car using jump leads. Dan's grateful. After Steve takes the mickey about simple car maintenance, he locks his own keys in his car. Liam flies round to Audrey's house desperate to see Maria but Audrey and Bill bar his way telling him Maria needs to be left alone. Liam's at his wits' end. Audrey sorts through Maria's overnight bag and finds paperwork entitled "Baby Connor" containing baby's hand and footprints. Audrey's shocked.

- This was the first episode of Coronation Street to be broadcast on a Sunday since ITV created a second Friday slot for the show, transmitting at 7.35pm. An episode of Coronation Street Family Album was broadcast in the second Friday slot on 2nd May.
