Plot[]
Gail makes excuses for David, ignoring everyone trying to calm her down in court. Becky and Rick are flirting in the cafe. Roy is unimpressed. Tony pressures Jason about smoking the bats out of the building site. The Platts arrive back and Janice verbally attacks David. Jerry feels sorry for Gail. Darryl and David have a catch up and sort things out. Gail can't believe how calm David is. He admits to Darryl that he's not calm at all but is hiding it. Roy lays down more rules for Becky before Rick arrives. Bill gives Roy a piece of his mind about potentially being put out of work. Gail tells David she needs him and wants him to plead diminished responsibility. Janice and Audrey have a set-to about David leaving Audrey deflated. Jason decides to get rid of the bats. Mel and Abi support Darryl in the Rovers and as Lauren watches, Abi snogs Darryl. Roy bores Ken and Deirdre with his highly-detailed talk of bats. Tony tells Jason he is doing everyone a favour and leaves him to smoke the bats out. Darryl resigns from the takeaway saying he's fed up with being paid so little. Becky and Rick are semi-dressed, drinking at Roy's flat when Rick finds one of Roy's steam train records. As they imitate trains Roy enters. Becky explains. He walks out. Jason phones Tony to say he's done the job and notices Roy outside too.
