Plot[]
Audrey and Bill confront David. David vehemently denies pushing Gail down the stairs. Audrey asks him if he knew about Tina's abortion. David puts on a brilliant performance and pretends to be shocked. However Bill's not taken in. Michelle fusses over Ryan as he prepares to leave for Cornwall with his dad Nick. As soon as Audrey and Bill have left, David phones Tina in a panic and demands she comes over as soon as she can. Audrey's taken in by David and reckons he's innocent but Bill disagrees. Peter Garrard calls in the restaurant and tells Leanne that having looked at the books he's reducing his offer to £40,000. Leanne's furious and tells him to stick his offer. David admits to Tina how he accidentally pushed Gail down the stairs. Tina's shocked that he left his own mother for dead. David tries to blame Tina saying how he behaved irrationally because he was so distraught about her abortion. Bill phones the police and airs his suspicions about David. Steve gives Michelle some flowers in an effort to cheer her up. Fiz arrives back from her holiday only to find out from Kirk and Roy that Chesney's been taken into care. Fiz resolves to get him back. The police take David in for questioning. David pleads with Tina to lie for him and say he was with her. Tina's torn.
