Plot[]
Part One: Sonia's body is carried away. A doctor climbs under the rubble to reach Ena, who is alive but unconscious. The rescue effort is slowed down when the bricks start to fall again. David clears a path to Ena's lifeless body as Jack and Hilda try to comfort a distraught Minnie. Sergeant Bowdon gives Jack permission to open the Rovers after hours in order to clear the street of onlookers, while Elsie brews up for the menfolk at No.11. Stan finds out from Emiy that David gave Hilda a ticket for Wembley. He tries to put her off from going. Len and David drag Ena out of the rubble and she is taken unconscious to hospital. In the morning, Hilda considers not going to London but changes her mind when Lucille gets her excited about going clubbing with Stan after the match. She decides to get a dress on HP for the occasion. Steve sleeps in Dennis's room. Elsie admits that she and Len have a complicated history together. Steve invites Elsie to a party in Warrington but she turns him down as it's all too much for her. Minnie uses Elsie's phone to find out how Ena is but they won't tell her as she isn't family. Elsie poses as Ena's daughter to discover she has bruises, shock and a broken arm but is otherwise fine.
Part Two: Mike Ridehalgh offers Stan the ticket back for £20. Hospitalised Ena tells Elsie she approves of Steve. Stan burns Hilda's ticket. Jerry tells Len that Elsie has given Steve the boot. Len heads over and invites Elsie to the plumber's dance. She turns him down, but tells him it isn't because of Steve. Len realises she's besotted and wishes Elsie the best.
