Plot[]
Bethany is unconscious but stable. Becky is worried about Hayley and frustrated with Roy. He is only thinking about climate change and not the state of his marriage. Vernon excitedly tells Liz that he's booked the register office for 31st December. Liz points out the impracticality of having it on that day. Vernon is upset. Liz feels guilty. David tells Darryl that Bethany took one of the Ecstasy tablets. Gail grabs Darryl out of his car and screams at him. David said he lied when he said the drugs were Darryl's. Jerry is suspicious. Jerry shouts at Darryl. The police arrive and arrest David. Gail refuses to go with him. Liz agrees to get married on New Year's Eve. David lies to the police, he says he got the drugs from a guy on the street. Bethany comes round. Everyone is relieved. Becky tells Hayley to go and see Christian and speak to Roy about it. Sarah is upset to find David has been released from the police station with only a formal warning. She tells Gail that she plans to move out when Bethany recovers, but Gail tells her that David is the one who will be moving out and packs his bags.
