Plot

Denise is very embarrassed about the night before and cannot bear the awkwardness between her and Ken. Ken tells her he is going to get back with Deirdre, he says his goodbyes and vows to stay in touch with Daniel.

Meanwhile, Deirdre goes out for a meal with the girls at which she toasts the single life and complains how Ken has left her for Denise. Ken comes home to an empty house. A tipsy Deirdre returns to an emotional Ken.

The Connors are at an all time low as they prepare to go to Ireland for the funeral. Carla and Liam wonder what possessions to put into Paul's coffin while Steve tries to comfort Michelle and Ryan.

Elsewhere, Jerry suggests Mel buys Grandad a pint to loosen his tongue about his past. Gail remains adamant that David will sit the rest of his exams.
