Plot
It’s the night before the trial, and Deirdre continues to probe Tracy for the truth.
Years of resentment and recriminations come to a head as Deirdre tells Tracy a few home truths and the relationship between the two reaches boiling point.
With emotions running high, Deirdre says she’s prepared to lie for Tracy if she opens up to her. Tracy goes on to truthfully reveal all the events leading up to Charlie’s death. She includes everything from the fake injuries and screams to locking herself in her room. Deirdre is shaken and hysterical.

- This is the second episode of Coronation Street to feature only two characters. The first was a two-hander between Curly and Raquel Watts on 2nd January 2000.
