Plot
Liam welcomes the workers back to Underworld. Liz tells Michelle she's going to take Vernon out as he's had a bad week and is trying to get a job. Vernon tells her he's already going to a Northern soul revival night in Rochdale - he's got his ticket. Wiki presents the girls with cakes she's bought for their morning break. Joanne refuses them. Tracy, with her solicitor, is questioned by her barrister at his chambers. She claims they keep trying to catch her out. Peter chats to Maria as she cuts his hair. Liz is surprised when Derek the delivery man comes into the Rovers and asks her out for a drink. She tells him she's free tonight. Deirdre admits to Ken that she doesn't believe Tracy. She tells him about the tape and suggests there's a conspiracy between Tracy and David. Liz is ready for her night out with Derek when Vernon returns saying he's changed his mind and wants to take her out. Liam sends Paul a message saying that he's told Carla everything. Peter continues to flirt with Maria in the Rovers. As Derek approaches the bar, Liz is worried but Vernon's oblivious as Liz lies pretending Derek's turned up out of the blue. Deirdre tells Ken she destroyed the tape and she's beginning to think she can't believe anything Tracy says.
