Plot

Charlie has spent the night with Maria. Maria feels guilty about Tracy. Norris is furious with Rita when he finds out she's been benefiting from promotional gifts a free pen and a set of steak knives, without telling him. When Liz says she's having a night out with her mate Bren, Vernon quietly suggests to Michelle they could spend the night together. Michelle makes it clear she's not interested but thick-skinned Vernon fails to get the message. Tracy demands to know where Charlie spent the night. He lies, saying he fell asleep drunk in the yard. Jason corroborates his story. Steve goes to collect Ryan from athletics only to find he's already left. Ryan later turns up at the Rovers with Michelle's brother Liam. She introduces them to Steve. Kirk, Fiz, Tyrone and Molly arrive back from their weekend away. Fiz is still in a mood. Charlie lies to Tracy and nips round to Maria's flat. He tells Maria that he loves her and that Tracy is just a temporary problem. Maria's walking on air. Fiz finishes with Kirk. Kirk's gutted wondering what went wrong. Vernon strips down to his underpants thinking Michelle's up for a night of passion. He's horrified when he enters the back room of the pub to find the jokes on him and Sean and Betty are there too. Michelle tells him he can stick his lousy band and goes home. Liz arrives back early and senses something's gone on.
