Plot[]
Gail tries to tackle David's English Literature book - The Canterbury Tales - but it defeats her. Leanne's left in the charge of the factory. Sean begs for the afternoon off. Leanne gives in. Molly enlists Tyrone's help. They agree to work for Diggory for free to try and get the bakers back on top. Les begs Leanne for a job at factory but she tells him that there's no vacancies. Sean has an emotional meeting with his mother, Maureen. He forces her to tell him who his real dad is - a plumber called Paul Jones who doesn't even know of Sean's existence. Shelley confides in Betty she's got a meeting with the brewery about a pub manager's job that's come up. Gail realises that teaching David is beyond her and so enlists the help of Ken. David's fed up as he's going to have to do some work after all. Steve tells Eileen he's going to take his half of Street Cars and set up again on his own if she'll agree to be the licence holder. Eileen's happy with the plan. Eileen, Violet and Jamie find Sean desolate and upset, wishing he'd never started to track down his dad in the first place.
