Plot[]
Brian Tully pays Sean a surprise visit. Sean plucks up the courage and tells him that he's gay. Brian's amused and explains how he knew Sean was gay when he was only ten. The police tell Steve they've found a small piece of cloth on the car that matches the victim's coat. He's arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and leaving the scene of the accident. Ronnie acts shocked as she tells Liz how she's seen Steve being taken away in a police car. Shelley has a disastrous date with Simon Stevens, the bus driver. He bores her rigid as he talks her through his favourite bus routes. Steve explains to the police he wasn't actually driving the car but was covering up for his girlfriend as she already has nine points on her licence. Sean proudly introduces his dad to Violet, Jamie and Adam. They get on well. Shelley escapes from Simon by pretending Bev's had a funny turn. When the police question Ronnie she denies all knowledge. She shows them her clean licence to prove it. Keith begs Charlie to reconsider letting him stay in the house but Charlie refuses. Steve's shocked at Ronnie's lies. He realises his only option is the whole truth. He explains to the police how he couldn't have been driving the car that night as he was in bed with his business partner's girlfriend Kelly.
