Plot[]
Part One: Jerry is confused over the baby and doesn't know where it leaves him and Sheila. Annie tries to find out how much Lucille earns with the intention of giving her financial advice. At the factory, Bet Lynch grows annoyed at Lucille's speed. Annie is horrified to discover from Hilda that Lucille earns £13, 10 a week. The menfolk decide to press David for tickets to the World Cup match between Brazil and Portugal in Liverpool on 19th July. Lucille tries to make out she only earns £9 a week but Annie sees through the deception. Sheila tells Jerry that she had Danny fostered when her dad threw her out and she couldn't cope as a single mother. He makes her admit that the baby is Neil Crossley's.
Part Two: Lucille pretends she miscounted her wages. The Walkers make her agree to put some money aside each week. Ken starts the mission film society with a showing of three silent comedies. He leaves Dennis in charge of the second film in order to nip out to the Rovers. Ena, Minnie and Annie walk out when he shows a nudist film by mistake - the others ask for the showing to continue. David agrees to get the match tickets, but warns the men they'll be expensive. They decide to buy one extra and sell it outside the stadium for a fortune. The menfolk rush round to watch the film when the women bring their complaints to Ken. Jerry can't stand the fact that Sheila had a baby with Crossley. Sheila asks him where they stand with each other but he can't answer.
