Plot[]
Part One: Sheila turns the front parlour of No.11 into a bedroom with Jed finding her cheap furniture. Elsie begins to take Dennis's death threat story seriously when she finds him locking himself in. Jed wants to go out with Sheila but she blows him off for Jerry. Dennis starts work at the betting shop. Len offers to get the truth out of Dennis to put Elsie's fears to rest. Albert's gardening talk at the Mission clashes with Ken's film club. He complains to Ruth but she stands by the arrangements as the groups aren't big enough to need the hall to themselves. Jerry shocks everyone by going off on one at Len for making jokes about him and Sheila. The residents worry that Jerry is getting too involved with Sheila whilst still being married.
Part Two: Wally makes £8 when his horse comes in at 100/6 following a tip from Dave. Dave asks him to let Elsie know where he got the tip. Dennis responds to Len's pep-talk by trying to get a rise out of him. Len just about manages to keep his cool but tells Elsie he's not helping out any more. Dennis works out how to make £95 on the horses. Albert starts his talk on allotments with Len, David and Ernie Mills in attendance but is distracted by Annie complaining about the amount of sex in films and goes over to tell her off. Jerry spends the evening in Sheila's bedroom. He's disappointed when he tries to kiss her only for Sheila to push him away. She hints that she's keeping something from him.
